About this Product
The F-type Coax Keystone Connector is a keystone-style insert module designed to provide a neat, professional mounting point for coaxial “F-type” 75 Ω connections within modular wall plates, surface boxes or patch panels. The front face of the module snaps or slides into a standard keystone port (≈ 14.5 mm wide × 16 mm high) and provides a female F-type threaded socket for connecting RG-6/RG-59 coaxial cables. The rear side offers either a threaded female or male F-type coupling, or a tail for direct coax termination, depending on the variant. Ideal for AV, satellite TV, cable TV, broadband coax runs and structured low-voltage wiring in homes or commercial installs.
Key Features
- Keystone-compatible module: fits standard keystone-style wall plates, surface mount boxes or patch panels.
- Female F-type threaded connector on the front for coaxial cable connection.
- Rear termination: either female F-type coupling or tail for coax cable depending on the model.
- Suitable for RG-6 and RG-59 coaxial cables and 75 Ω systems (commonly used for TV, satellite, cable modem connections).
- Colour options: common finish is white (to match standard wall plates) though other colours may be available.
- Snap‐in or screw-in mechanism ensures a clean, flush finish and secure mounting.
Specifications
- Connector type: Female F-type (front) to F-type (rear) or coax termination tail.
- Impedance: 75 Ω (typical for F-type coaxial systems)
- Keystone module dimensions: Roughly 14.5 mm (width) × 16.0 mm (height) for the keystone face.
- Rear termination) varies by model: e.g., threaded F-socket, or hex nut design for RG coax.
- Colour/finish: White housing common; metal connector typically nickel or brass plated for good conductivity & corrosion resistance.
- Application frequency/bandwidth: Some models rated up to 3 GHz coaxial performance.
- Compatibility: Standard keystone wall plate systems, modular inserts, surface boxes, patch panels.
Applications
- Home entertainment systems: installing a wall plate outlet for TV/satellite where RG-6 or RG-59 cable is routed to living rooms, bedrooms or entertainment zones.
- Structured cabling in homes or offices: integrating coaxial connections into multi-media faceplates (data + TV) via keystone modules.
- Commercial AV systems: patch panels or distribution modules in racks where coax lines need modular, tidy termination.
- Retrofit renovations: upgrading existing wall plates to modular keystone systems, adding coax ports alongside network and AV jacks.
- Satellite or cable modem installations: providing termination point for coax feed-through in residential or multi-residential buildings.
